Wheels Across Botswana

 

This outstanding mobile safari will give you the opportunity to gain an insight into areas and wildlife not necessarily available on a typical fly-in safari, whilst still enjoying the luxury and comfort of strategically located lodges within Botswana's famous game reserves and national parks.

Each departure is accompanied by a selected professional safari guide, providing a unique and personal insight into the wonders of these wilderness destinations. With a maximum of six participants per departure, the group size is limited and you will travel in fully equipped and customised luxury safari vehicles. Private activities are provided throughout by the accompanying guide and are tailored in consultation with the group, allowing the flexibility to meet the group's needs and interests.

DAY 1 LIVINGSTONE-CHOBE
Met at Livingstone airport and transferred by road to your lodge. In the afternoon enjoy a sundowner cruise or an exciting game drive. Overnight: Chobe Game Lodge. (l,d)

DAY 2 CHOBE
Morning and afternoon game activities. Overnight: Chobe Game Lodge. (b,l,d)

DAY 3 SAVUTE
Depart, in your specially equipped safari vehicle, for the Savute area of the Chobe National Park. Depending on the time of the year, your guide may choose to take the road less travelled and could incorporate a visit to the Nogatsaa area. Overnight: Savute Safari Lodge. (b,l,d)

DAY 4 SAVUTE
Savute is renowned for its population of bull elephants. Open 4x4 game drives are conducted in Savute, including the famous Savute Marsh, and the San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills. Overnight: Savute Safari Lodge. (b,l,d)

DAY 5 OKAVANGO DELTA
Travel through the Mababe depression and enter Moremi Game Reserve, famous for its dramatic scenery and abundant wildlife. Here you will enjoy an extended game drive to your camp in the Xaxanaka area. Overnight: Camp Moremi. (b,l,d)

DAY 6 OKAVANGO DELTA
Today you can enjoy two game activities in Xaxanaka, considered one of the most beautiful areas in the Moremi Game Reserve. Located on the edge of the permanent waters of the Okavango Delta, this area is rich in plant and animal species. Overnight: Camp Moremi. (b,l,d)

DAY 7 OKAVANGO DELTA
Depart by boat into the heart of the Delta. This journey through the serpentine channels and expansive lagoons of the Delta gives the opportunity to experience this magnificent ecosystem. Overnight: Camp Okavango. (b,l,d)

DAY 8 OKAVANGO DELTA
Camp Okavango is situated on Nxaragha Island located within the Okavango Delta. Explore the waterways and floodplains by boat & mokoro and the islands on guided walking safaris. Overnight: Camp Okavango. (b,l,d)

DAY 9 MAKGADIKGADI PANS
Enjoy a morning activity before departing on your charter flight over the Okavango Delta to the desert location of Leroo La Tau, situated on the banks of the Boteti River which forms the western boundary of Makgadikgadi Pans National Park. Overnight: Leroo La Tau Lodge. (b,l,d)

DAY 10 MAKGADIKGADI PANS
Having explored the area and enjoyed the spectacular wildlife on guided day and night game drives, retire after dinner to a splendid fireplace overlooking the waterhole. Overnight: Leroo La Tau Lodge. (b,l,d)

DAY 11 MAUN
After a morning activity and breakfast, you will bid farewell to your guide and be transferred from Leroo La Tau to Maun Airport for your onward arrangements. (b)

On selected dates this tour will operate in the opposite direction.

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted on this tour.
