Borana Lodge

 

Rustic yet luxurious this family run lodge is set on a vast, wildlife rich, working cattle ranch on the edge of Laikipia Plateau with panoramic views of Mount Kenya. Due to its location and altitude this lodge is close to a wide diversity of wildlife including lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, antelope, wild dogs and bird species.

Location of Borana Lodge
Situated on a working 35,000 acre ranch in the Laikipia region of northern Kenya, just north of the equator, and not far from Mount Kenya.

Facilities at Borana Lodge
Offers a dining room and bar. Leisure facilities include a swimming pool, game viewing, horse riding, guided walks, biking, lake fishing, bird watching, curio shop and resident masseuse.

Accommodation at Borana Lodge
8 large tastefully furnished thatched cottage rooms with a private bath, fireplace & verandah (2 adults and 1 child).

Board Basis at Borana Lodge
Breakfast, lunch, dinner, house wines, beers & soft drinks included.

Note: People with walking difficulties could find Borana hard to cope with as it is on quite a steep incline.

The Borana Lodge is closed during November.
