Facilities at Hemingways
A main restaurant and a sea front à la carte restaurant and 2 bars. Gentlemen are required to wear
long trousers and a tailored shirt in the restaurant and bar in the evenings. Leisure facilities include two outdoor
freshwater pools, a spa and salon centre, tennis, gym & TV/video room and a gift and jewellery shop. Water
sports include snorkelling trips, scuba diving and big game fishing. Complimentary shuttle to Malindi for
shopping.

The southeast wind (Kusi) blows from mid March to sometime in November and is cooler than the
northeast breeze (Kaskazi) which blows the rest of the year. Outside dining and a pool bar are available during the
Kaskazi months when the sea is warmer and calmer.
From May to September the beaches in Watamu are subject
to seaweed and tidal variance. Water sports are subject to weather conditions in May and June.
Accommodation at Hemingways
76 sea view air-conditioned rooms with bath and/or shower, fan, safe, mini bar, tea/coffee
making facilities, hairdryer and a balcony or verandah. 26 Superior rooms (3 adults) overlook the ocean, pool or
gardens. 44 deluxe rooms, 18 of which are in the south wing, are family sized (4 adult), and offer the easiest
access to the hotel's gardens & beach. 2 Executive Suites, 4 Junior Suites.
