Laikipia District (days 3-5) is home to a wealth of endangered species. Your accommodation here, Loisaba Lodge, with only 7 en suite rooms, is perched high on the edge of the plateau looking south towards Mount Kenya. The views are legendary, and a waterhole attracts wildlife. Not to be missed is one night under the stars in a Star Bed.

Saruni (days 6-8) is a deluxe and intimate tented lodge set in a private conservation area outside the Masai Mara Game Reserve. With accommodation for only 12 guests in six spectacular tented cottages, it is set in a remote valley at the heart of the most exciting wilderness in Kenya. Saruni runs the Masai Wellbeing Space, a unique feature in the Masai Mara and considered one of the most professional and inspiring beauty centres in Kenya.

Loisaba Lodge and Saruni Mara offer full board, soft drinks, beer, house wine and non-luxury spirits plus guided walks, night game drives and laundry. Loisaba Lodge also offers horse and camel rides and Saruni Mara offers one complimentary massage per stay.

DAY 1 DAILY HEATHROW - NAIROBI
Fly from Heathrow overnight to Nairobi.

DAY 2 NAIROBI
On arrival transfer to your hotel for a day at leisure or choose from a selection of optional excursions (book & pay locally).

DAY 3 LAIKIPIA
Fly by light aircraft to Loisaba (approximately 1 hour 25 minutes) and transfer to the lodge. Afternoon game activity. Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks, horse, camel and mountain bike rides. Also included are sundowners, bush meals and laundry. (b,l,d)

DAYS 4-5 LAIKIPIA
Early morning and late afternoon game drives. (b,l,d)
We recommend a 1-night stay in a Star Bed, these are raised wooden platforms with 4 poster beds on wheels that can either be under the stars or the thatched roofs.

DAY 6 MASAI MARA
Transfer to Loisaba airstrip for the flight to the Masai Mara (approximately 1 hour 10 minutes). Afternoon game drive. Activities include day and night game drives, guided walks and bush meals. Also included are sundowners, laundry and one complimentary massage per cottage. (b,l,d)

DAY 7 MASAI MARA
Take an early morning balloon safari over the Masai Mara followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast (optional extra) or a game drive followed by breakfast. Rest of the morning at leisure. After lunch enjoy a late afternoon game drive. (b,l,d)

DAY 8 MASAI MARA
Early morning & late afternoon game drives. (b,l,d)

DAY 9 EXTENSION OR HEATHROW
Fly by light aircraft to Nairobi (approximately 1 hour). Proceed with your chosen extension or return to Heathrow. (b)

Option to fly from the Mara to Mombasa on day 9 (includes lunch in the Mara) - prices on request.

Light aircraft baggage allowance - 15 kgs.

This safari is offered on a daily basis so no allocation is held and all services are subject to availability. If any element is not available, we will suggest the best available alternative.
