Although previous experience in the travel industry is not essential, we will expect the successful applicants to have a polite and confident telephone manner. Previous experience in a telephone sales environment would be advantageous. Some formal on-site training will be conducted on all our products and successful applicants will also be expected to complete a self-study programme that will enhance and develop knowledge of all the destinations that we feature. This position will present the successful applicant with an opportunity to learn, in depth, about all aspects of Tour Operating. Apart from selling ‘Brochured’ holidays on the telephone, a fair percentage of enquiries will be for holidays that are ‘Tailor-made’; this will test not only your product knowledge and ability to put together complex itineraries, but also your ability to cost and price numerous components of a holiday to create a ‘Tailor-made’ package. This position may involve occasional overseas travel.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
